Over twenty years of experience managing a wide range of safety, health & environmental issues, in a variety of industries & corporate cultures. He is well versed in regulatory requirements & is experienced in single, multi, & international site management.

Mr. Gold has an extensive background in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, mold investigations, indoor air quality investigations, & ergonomics. He is a qualified expert witness. He holds a Masters of Science degree in Industrial Hygiene from the University of Southern California. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science/Environmental & Occupational Health.

For three years, Mr. Gold was an Assistant Professor in the Health Science Department, Environmental & Occupational Health Program at California State University, Northridge. He has also served as guest instructor in Safety Management, Environmental & Safety Law, & Industrial Hygiene topics for Redlands University's MBA Program, the University of LaVerne's MBA Program, Rio Hondo Junior College & the University of Southern California Extension.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
  • Assisted the Occupational Safety Office of the Cal-Tech/NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratories by auditing & upgrading the Medical Surveillance Program records & database. Conducted surveys of Lab facilities & industrial hygiene sampling to determine necessity for personnel to be included in the Medical Surveillance Program. Developed MS Access database for tracking Pre-Operational Safety Reviews. Assisted with the indoor air quality issues & with the Laser Safety Program.

  • Responsible for all Health & Safety issues within several major facilities & subsidiaries of GTE. Assisted with region-wide training & implementation of the Behavior-Based Safety process. Developed & implemented databases in MS Access for incident root-cause analysis & safe behavior observation tracking. Coordinated regional ergonomics program resulting in significant reduction of cumulative trauma injuries.

  • Managed the safety & industrial hygiene function for the assembly & flight test operations of the U.S. Air Force B?2 Stealth Bomber. Responsible for health & safety at multiple sites, with a total of 4800 employees. Supervised the Health & Safety Department & staff. Interfaced with all levels of Northrop Grumman & government personnel. Developed & implemented policies & procedures for compliance. Led continuous improvement projects.
